BoardGameGeek - This is the website other boardgame sites aspire to be like. Much of the content there is user-generated, and it provides game ratings based on user votes. The forums are pretty active for all but the most obscure games.

Board Game Designers Forums - This is another endlessly useful website for aspiring and experienced board game designers. If you want to be the next James Ernst, you could find a worse place to start. The site also features a wiki.
